Rural Psychiatry Coverage

PsychStaffing Logo - full color

PsychStaffing has coordinated a team of psychiatry specialists to deliver telepsychiatry services to Ohio’s rural underserved patients beginning in April 2026.

The team will consist of 24 Ohio based board certified psychiatrists and board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners.  These front line specialists, known as the Buckeye Bridge,  will deliver the highest standard of  psychiatric care with the shared vision of  restoring hope to Ohio patients struggling with mental illness and substance use issues.

Behavioral health administrators can select from a range of experienced providers that match the needs of their patient population.  The Buckeye Bridge Workforce will include addictionologists, adult, child/adolescent and geriatric specialists.

All participating agencies will receive free step-by-step training in setting up a virtual psychiatry office within their agency.  Patients will attend their monthly psychiatry appointments at their local agency after completing the agency’s intake process.

The psychiatrist or psychiatric nurse practitioner will document the patient’s clinical notes directly into the agency’s electronic medical record system.  The agency will bill and receive all reimbursements related to the services delivered.

Agencies offering an integrated care model (when therapy and medication management are closely aligned) can provide patients with significantly better outcomes.
